8:20AM STV | Everyone was thrilled, no doubt, to see DJ AM walk out of the hospital last week so soon after the plane crash that critically burned him and travel partner Travis Barker while killing four others. LA’s especially excited DJ community has since organised a “welcome home” bash to be held Oct. 14 at the Avalon, but might have slightly overshot its appreciation with its accompanying posters featuring AM in flame-orange, Obama-influenced repose. DJ AM Makes First Public Appearance Since Plane Crash at Memorial Service

8:40AM Kyle Buchanan | Released from the hospital this past Friday, DJ AM yesterday made his first public appearance since the plane crash that claimed the lives of four people and left the musician and his friend Travis Barker badly burned. One of those victims was Chris “Lil’ Chris” Baker, Barker’s assistant, and it was his memorial service that drew DJ AM back into the public eye. More »

7:00AM Defamer Hollywood | Well Wishes: Nine days after the tragic plane crash that left four dead, Travis Barker was released from the hospital this morning and is apparently headed home to Los Angeles. A spokesperson for the hospital told People that Barker was in “good condition.” The drummer, 32, was being treated for burns on his torso and lower body at Joseph M. Still Burn Centre at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The only other survivor, DJ AM, wasreleased Friday. That same day, he updated his Facebook page to read, “Adam Goldstein [AM's real name] is the luckiest guy alive.” Thankfully, both Barker and AM are expected to fully recover from their injuries. 5:55AM Defamer Hollywood | Recoveries: After that horrible plane crash last week, it seems the sole survivors DJ AM and Travis Barker are doing a little better. AM has been released from the hospital in Georgia and is on his way back to LA. His publicist says, “While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide. We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.” Meanwhile Jermaine Dupri just visited Travis in the hospital and told People Magazine all about it. “He’s doing good, he’s gonna be alright. He’s just got a lot of healing to do,” says the producer. What’s more, Travis is getting his hospital room all tricked out with iPods and computers so he can be more comfortable. “He’s supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he’s feeling better.” Glad to hear it.
