Amy Winehouse Round-Up: Back… On Crack
9:59AM Clem Bastow | Yes, Winegums Watch has returned, feeling as refreshed as Winegums looked after her romantic holiday with hubby Blake, and we’re ready to bring you all the Winegums you can eat handle.
To wit, it looks as though Amy’s touring future in the USA could be in question after Winegums’ recent alleged drug bust while on tour in Europe (which sounds like it’s going really well, by the way).
Dad Mitch reckons the Norwegian filth tricked Amy into signing a confession disguised as a release form.
“They only released them after they signed a form, which they were told was a release form. It was in Norwegian. It was actually a confession, so this is being dealt with now by the Norwegian authorities and the British Consulate because the ramifications of that are that she now can’t get into the States and she was meant to go next week.”
Being denied a visa could stall Winehouse’s assault on the US where she has already climbed the top ten singles chart and earned rave reviews.
Fellow Brit singer Lily Allen has also recently fallen foul of US immigration. Her visa was cancelled in August after LA immigration officials questioned her over an assault on a photographer in March.
In other words, all’s well in Winegums Watch, as you can see!
Now, it could be that the holiday has brought our conscience into stark relief, or just that having the Max channel on constantly in your hotel room reminds you what good music really is, but at the moment we’re really loving Winegums’ Tears Dry On Their Own – so, to address the balance a little, hop over the jump to watch the new video and see why we began our fascination with Winegums in the first place.
Kylie Needs To Tell William Baker That Loose Lips Sink Ships
10:08AM Clem Bastow | Before Our Kylie could even get the words out, Her William Baker has been blabbing about the pop princess’ rumoured world tour, which now looks set to be a 40th birthday celebration of sorts.
Are we the only ones who wish Baker would stop pitching himself as her personal channeller and instead be content to play the Ken Paves role?
The Australian pop princess, who will celebrate the milestone on May 28, is working with friend and stylist William Baker on ideas for the tour, Britain’s The Sun newspaper reported today.
“I’m heading back into the studio with Kylie in February to start training for the tour we want to do in June,” the tabloid quoted Baker as saying after the London premiere of a documentary about Minogue titled White Diamond.
And was it his idea to dress her up as a drag queen in that official camera? Is it William Baker who keeps feeding stories to the tabloids about Kylie’s many new hairstyles? Did he pick that dress she wore to the White Diamond premiere?

Spice Girls Sell Out, But Don’t Sellout (Or Is It The Other Way ‘Round?)
11:18AM Clem Bastow | The reformation gig that’s made us more excited than the day Maccas brought in the Double Cheeseburger has started actually selling tickets (after the ballot to work out which fans would be able to cough up the cash): the Spice Girls’ totally-not-motivated-by-money-hunger first London concert has sold out in 38 seconds.
Concert promoters have added a further three concerts in London, so we’re hoping something similar will happen when the Sydney date on the tour no doubt goes the same way.
Because if we don’t get to go see the Spice Girls, may god have mercy on everyone’s souls. More »
