Australian Actress Splits With Hollywood Boyfriend

2:26PM Jess McGuire | Poor Teresa Palmer. It doesn’t seem all that long ago that the Australian actress was opening up about her love for That 70s Show star Topher Grace on Facebook, but it seems that her relationship status has now changed. Oh Teresa, I do not ‘Like’ this one bit. More »

Teresa Palmer Struck Down By Severe Case Of Facebook Oversharing

11:25AM Jess McGuire | You all remember Teresa Palmer, right? I am fairly sure she’s an Australian actress of some description, although for the life of me I cannot think of a single role she’s played (this may be due to a case of post Golden Plains brain). The only thing I know about her for sure is that she briefly won the heart of Russell Brand before losing the heart of Russell Brand. And sandwiching the unsuccessful Russell Brand experience appears to be Topher Grace, who we discovered was “just good friends” with Teresa back in July of 2007, and who now appears to be the goddamn love of her life. How do we know this? How does anyone know anything any more these days? FACEBOOK. Teresa Palmer may play coy on her Hollywood boyfriend Topher Grace in interviews, but she’s been unable to resist showing her love for him on Facebook. More »

So Teresa Palmer Didn’t Really Change Russell Brand That Much, After All

12:30PM Clem Bastow | One thing that has been missing from the coverage of Russell Brand’s apparent “hook up” with Britney Spears is any mention of his GIRLFRIEND, Australian actress and expat, Teresa Palmer. Yes, remember her? The one for whom Russell Had apparently become a changed man (The Sun twice crowned him Shagger Of The Year). So, er, yeah, Russell, where’s your girlfriend? Just hours before their rendezvous, Brand told reporters he was newly single after ending his three-month relationship with Palmer, 22. Describing himself as “footloose and fancy free,” Brand reportedly even propositioned a female journalist during press interviews for his upcoming film Bedtime Stories. More »

Apparently The Australian Actress You Probably Don’t Know Has Tamed That Bad Boy British Comedian You Probably Don’t Care All That Much About

9:21AM Jess McGuire | Following on from June’s revelation that she’d gone on a holiday with UK comedian Russell Brand, we must say well done to Adelaide actress Teresa Palmer, who has – according to the Daily Mail – managed to tie down one of Britain’s most famous shaggers for more than a month now! Could it be that the infamous swordsman Russell Brand has finally decided to settle down – even to the point of wanting to become a daddy? The hirsute comedian, 33, had a broody moment backstage at the O2 Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park when he held a pal’s baby. As he lovingly cradled the tot, he told his new girlfriend: “Ooh I think I want one of these.” Breaking thousands of hearts across the land, he continued: “Shall we get started?” Aussie actress Teresa Palmer, 22, has succeeded where thousands of other women have failed in taming legendary lothario Russell. We hear the couple have been together for a month – which must be something of a record for the yo-yo-trousered Russell – and met each other on the set of Disney movie Bedtime Stories. Although I haven’t seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the film that has made Russell a bit famous in the States, I did just witness him on David Letterman last night, and quite enjoyed him. PS: I’d ask someone to update your IMDB bio though, love. Teresa is currently based in Adelaide, where she lives with her current boyfriend, retired Port Adelaide Football Club star Stuart Dew. “O.chunk” Dating Aussie Starlet

1:27PM Clem Bastow | We were somewhat puzzled, and then amused, this morning when we were trying to work out who “O.Chunk” might be – when we clicked the link, we realised that News Ltd’s exemplary online subediting work was trying to tell us it was “O.C. hunk” Adam Brody – and, wouldn’t you know it, he’s putting it in some Aussie starlet we’d struggle to name in a police line-up! Yes, he’s dating Teresa Palmer, his co-star in the 2manySuperheroes flick, Justice League Of America. Who knew the formerly nerdy Seth Cohen had it in him, eh? While she’s set to kill his character, Wall West aka The Flash, in the superhero blockbuster, it was all sweet lovin’ for the off-screen couple, who held hands and cuddled up over dinner at Lotus restaurant in Potts Point on Saturday night. Onlookers who contacted Confidential yesterday were stunned to see the celebrity duo, who sat in a party of six, going largely unnoticed for the duration of their meal. It’s not the first time Brody’s been all over an Aussie girl; last year he was spotted making out with hot ranga model Tiah Eckhardt on the grass at an AIDS fundraiser. So there you have it: charitable aspiring actresses of Australia, YOU could be next to feel the seed of Brody! More »

Someone We Have Never Heard Of May Have Left Someone We Have Never Heard Of For American Actor We Are Vaguely Familiar With

8:12AM Jess McGuire | Now, we’ve made a fairly concerted effort to get to know the “Who’s Who” of Aussie showbiz since we blackmailed our way into a position of blogging power here at Defamer Australia, and this pursuit of knowledge has meant we’ve done a crash course in AFL players and B-grade Australian blonde actresses. But we still don’t know who the fuck these people are. Australian actor Teresa Palmer is believed to have split from ex-AFL footballer Stuart Dew and is rumoured to be dating Spider-Man star Topher Grace. Palmer, 21, is based in Los Angeles while Dew, who retired from playing AFL for Port Adelaide last year, lives in Adelaide. “Teresa is now living in LA for work reasons,” a source close to Palmer told The Sunday Telegraph. “Her and Stuey are apart but they have not officially separated, they are on a forced break brought on by the distance between them. “They are both good friends and are in regular contact. Topher and Teresa are mates, that’s it.” Well as long and Teresa and ‘Stuey’ aren’t officially separated, our whole day hasn’t been ruined. Once again, who are these people? Are they quite famous? Or just in Adelaide? Which is a legitimate kind of fame, don’t get us wrong… We can only hope one day to be Adelaide-Famous. Hell, Hobart-Famous would be enough. Cherrybrook Shopping Centre-Famous? We will try harder in the future to keep abreast of these things, we promise. On the upside, we have a vague memory of finding Topher Grace a bit spunky in some movie or another, so at least the entire article didn’t go over our head. More »
