Vin Diesel Down-Under: The Mystery Continues
1:00PM Clem Bastow | We posted a comment yesterday that suggested Vin Diesel was ‘booked’ to appear at more venues than the Rooty Hill RSL; well, said commenter has gotten back to us and provided more fuel for this rather bizarre fire.
Turns out commenter “Dwaine” is Dwaine Nosworthy, the manager of Liquid Nightclub in Rockingham in WA.
I do have vin diesel booked to appear at Liquid Nightclub, I am just waiting for a new date from the promoter as Vin Diesel is still filming in LA.
I believe that the promoter is very reputable and forthcoming and I also do believe that Vin will be in Australia, I know we have paid half of the appearance fee so far and have sold a lot of tickets for his appearance at our state of the art nightclub on the beachfront in Rockingham.
A casual perusal of Liquid’s “unofficial” MySpace suggests this is the case.
At least this means our initial suspicions – that someone called Vincent Diesel and his troupe of performing Jack Russell terriers was going around booking ersatz celebrity appearances at nightclubs – may have to be scratched.
How many more venues had Vin Diesel booked to appear before this kerfuffle emerged? Well, judging by Google’s cache of VIP Entertainment Group’s website (retrieved on September 29th), quite a few… 
Vin Diesel’s Tour Of RSL Duty: The Plot Thickens!
2:51PM Clem Bastow | We told you yesterday (inbetween shuddering guffaws) that Vin Diesel’s management were launching legal talks with an Australian promoter who claimed the action star was to appear at the Rooty Hill RSL.
Well, if the fine people who take the time to comment on Defamer Australia are to be believed, it seems the Returned Soldiers of New South Wales weren’t the only peeps rooting (eh, eh!) for Diesel. So sayeth reader “Dwaine”:
I am ther manager of a Western Australian Night Club and would like to ad that wee have booked a Vin Diesel appearance also and were expecting the star to be in Western Australia this month also. Still waiting on confirmation of a new date.

Not Appearing At Rooty Hill RSL Any Time Soon: The Beatles, The Doors, Vin Diesel
11:58AM Clem Bastow | In news to disappoint fans of cheap beer, no-frills meals and action superstars everywhere, apparently Vin Diesel is not planning on appearing at the Rooty Hill RSL – despite what an Australian promoter might have you believe.
Evidently VIP Entertainment Group announced that the Hollywood no-neck action star would be the guest of honour at the RSL club (though for what reason or event, we’re not entirely sure), and now Diesel’s management (42 West) have come out guns blazing.
