But because I am now apparently going to be “hanging out” (< -- OMG IS THIS A DATE) with Australian Idol winner Wes Carr on Thursday afternoon thanks to the good folks at his record company, I am prepared to copy and paste their shameless attempt to plug the new Kelly Clarkson record.

Ladyhawke – ‘My Delirium’
11:44AM Jess McGuire | When I reviewed the Ladyhawke album for Jmag, I declared ‘My Delirium’ to be the track I recommended readers download, and I’m happy to learn it’s now going to be the new single from record.
Over in the U.K, Popjustice have launched a campaign to try and get ‘My Delirium’ on top of the singles chart on December 25th, thus ensuring New Zealander Pip Brown’s place in the pop history books in the chapter titled ‘Chrismas Number Ones‘.
Popjustice says:
This is clearly a Christmas Number One waiting to happen. All it needs is some sleigh bells chucked over the top and maybe some new lyrics about the festive period (’stop playing with my eggnog’, ’stop playing with grandma’s colostomy bag’ etc etc) and it’s job done. Ladyhawke could do a new video where instead of a car she’s in Santa’s sleigh, and instead of a guitar she’s holding a Christmas tree. There should probably be some snow on the ground too. And she’d have to change her name to Ladyho Ho Ho.

Just In Case The Recently Leaked Pink Single Has Slipped By You…
10:14AM Jess McGuire | We’re going to have to insist you have a listen to it now, please. I suspect Alicia Moore’s infuriatingly catchy post-divorce anthem is going to end up being flogged to death on commercial radio in the near future. The eternally wonderful Popjustice describes the song by saying “One of the things we like about it is that while it’s superficially a howl of defiance you can’t escape the fact that at the heart of this is an injured and self destructive spirit coping very badly but in the only way she knows how.”
What do you think? Part of me really likes it, but there’s another part of me wishing it sounded as utterly brilliant as the Popjustice description I read before listening to it made it out to be.
