10:10AM Jess McGuire | A hearty congratulations to the Sezbian and Idol Virginity Respecting Origliasso twins who make up Aussie pop duo The Veronicas, as the pair have cracked the US Top Twenty with the single ‘Untouched’. Not the easiest thing in the world to do – the last time an Australian achieved such a feat was seven years ago.
The Veronicas have cracked the US Top 20 with their hit single Untouched, which reached number 17 in the Billboard Top 100 this week. They are the first Australian artist or group to make the top 20 since 2002, when Kylie Minogue hit number seven on the charts with Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.
Yesterday when I heard that Kylie was the last Australian performer to have such success in the US pop charts, I mistakenly assumed it was with the Emilíana Torrini-penned single ‘Slow’ and felt weird about the whole thing. That it was ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ which blew American minds makes much more sense. More »

Lisa Veronicas: “I Feel So Untouched… But I’m Okay With It, I Promise”
2:26PM Jess McGuire | Reet reet reet! Another report just in here at the Two Day Old News Desk TM! Lisa Origliasso has revealed she’s just fine and dandy about the fact professional virgin, her new fiance Dean Geyer, has resisted doing un-Christian things to her naughty bits during their year long courtship.
Australian Idol finalist Geyer, 22, and Origliasso, 23, open up about life, love and sex in an interview with OK Magazine.
But only Origliasso is experienced in the latter. Geyer is saving sex for marriage.
“I think for us, this was the next step to show our commitment,” Origliasso said.
She has said she respects Geyer’s chastity vow.
“I support him with all his decisions, just as he supports mine,” she said. “It’s all good.”

The Countdown To Dean Geyer’s Becoming A Man Starts… Now!
9:10AM Clem Bastow | Happy news – or sad news, if you’re approximately 13-years-old – from the teen pop fraternity: Lisa “The Veronicas” Origliasso and Dean “Still A Virgin” Geyer have announced their engagement!
Evidently Lisa was tired of taking out stocks in AA batteries the couple are very much in love and despite having put the kybosh on marriage talk only months ago, have decided to take a long walk up a short aisle.
“Dean Geyer and Lisa Origliasso, together with their families, are delighted to announce they are engaged,” the statement said.
“The couple have been together since April 2007 and are thrilled to share their news.”
Origliasso, 23, and Geyer, 22, met at the ARIA Awards in 2006, when The Veronicas won the best pop release for their debut album The Secret Life Of…
