4:02PM Jess McGuire | Over the weekend I was hanging out with my friend Rachael and she decided that she desperately wanted to watch the video clip for John Farnham’s You’re The Voice. Fair enough, it is an epic song and Defamer Australia has happily taken time out in the past to appreciate the full on awesomeness of the song’s music video. Cameos by Derryn Hinch and Jackie Weaver? Farnham at his mulleted best? A guitarist who is both TOTALLY BANGABLE and also resembles Rambo? Check, check, and motherchecking check.
In case you’ve never seen it (and you call yourself Australian! I presume!), here it is in all its glory.
Wonderful. Now, as we were searching for the video, we came across a couple of unexpected covers of the song. When I expressed my disbelief at some of the people who had chosen to tackle the track, especially those from American rock bands, my friend Rach simply quipped “The Farnham arm reaches far and wide” and how could I argue with that?

Suddenly I Do: KT Tunstall Gets Married
9:01AM Jess McGuire | Let me start off by saying that I hate myself for that lame ‘Suddenly I See’-with-a-nuptial-twist gag.
Moving swiftly along, it’s time to shout “Huzzah!” (and possibly “Who cares!”) for Very Popular TM singer KT Tunstall has finally gotten hitched to her long term drummer boyfriend, disappointing lesbian fans everywhere who were convinced that Tunstall donning rainbow-coloured braces on a record cover meant her interests included diving and listening the kd lang.
Scots singer KT Tunstall married her fiance, drummer Luke Bullen, on the Isle of Skye. The 33-year-old from Fife exchanged her vows in a marquee overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
She wore a full-length white silk strapless gown and the groom wore a powder-blue morning suit as 150 friends and family descended on four-star Flodigarry Country House Hotel set amid the island’s stunning natural scenery.
They might have been wearing traditional couture, but the guests who attended the ceremony were certainly dressed in a rather more exotic fashion. More »
