How Janeane Garofalo Snubbed Rush Limbaugh And Lynne Cheney
8:57PM Ryan Tate | Is it awkward being an outspoken liberal actress on 24, the show so obscenely and corrosively torture-happy that the dean of West Point said its brutal fantasies were poisoning the minds of young soldiers? More »

YouTube Clip Of The Day
10:07AM Jess McGuire | Guess what? I can’t stop watching clips of Janeane Garofalo on YouTube. I don’t know how this started, I really don’t. I mean, she’s awesome, but still. Surely I am better than this? Sometimes I get mad at her for constantly rabbiting on about how unattractive she is (when she is clearly beautiful) but as a general rule, I want to eat her up with a spoon.

A reporter from the Ottawa Sun in the right place at the right time (i.e., on the set of the less politically divisive TV project Binky “about the bittersweet relationship between a cranky rock critic and her mother’s Jack Russell Terrier”) gets her first thoughts: That the show is right-leaning, and Garofalo is an outspoken Bush and Iraq War critic is, she says, half-joking, “much to my chagrin. That’s why I feel like I’m being punked. I feel like the creators are going to make me say things that cause my sphincter to tighten.” More »
