Speaking of Wes Carr, I am hanging out with him this afternoon. No, really. I don’t particularly understand why. He is in town and I have been summonsed to Sony Music HQ. Perhaps I charmed him with my talk of him looking deceptively like Jesus H. Christ? Anyway. He seemed very nice when I chatted to him last, so for once I don’t actually mind missing out on today’s installment of rubbish arvo telly. If you can suggest some questions or things to say to Wesley Carr when we chillax and shoot the breeze, do let me know. I’ll bring a dictaphone and see if I can finally make him perform Sex On Fire for me. More »

Defamer Australia Versus Ladyhawke
12:26PM Jess McGuire | Alright, ladies and gentlemen. There’s nothing I hate more than transcribing but there’s nothing I love more than you, so despite my extreme laziness, I have tapped out some of the Ladyhawke interview I did last week for your consumption. Happy?
The show which will see the very lovely Ladyhawke (aka Pip Brown) programming the playlist will be airing in January at some point on RRR 102.7FM. I’ll be sure to give you a heads up. Unlike Lindsay, I am aware that Ladyhawke is an individual from New Zealand who goes by the name Pip Brown during her day to day life, and not numerous folk who play various instruments and have formed something called a “band”…

i love this group. i was actually searching on itunes not too long ago and was getting the album for “the black ghosts” and saw Ladyhawke on the same page. mixture of 80s pop/new wave and i’m pretty much obsessed with their entire vibe.
This makes sense. Lindsay is allegedly gagging to play Stevie Nicks in a Fleetwood Mac related movie (although, you know, Stevie would prefer Lindsay at least wait until Ms Nicks is dead before auditioning)

Defamer Australia Versus Australian Idol Winner Wes Carr
12:44PM Jess McGuire | I don’t know how I pulled it off, but I managed to trick the good folk from Sony BMG into letting me interview Wes Carr today. He was a very nice young man, and we talked about loads of things including religion, Ben Gillies, Ricki-Lee’s love life, and other stuff I can’t be bothered remembering because you’ll find out soon enough.
I’ve transcribed the first part of my interview for you (you’ll have to wait for the rest, I’m afraid. I’m a woman on the go! Time is valuable! I really need some sort of work experience kid to treat as a slave, then I could force them to sit down with a recording of an interview and write out the scintillating conversation…) and you can read it after the jump.
