Claire Sutherland from the Herald Sun loved it, calling it “a love letter to the Australian landscape and our history” and adding that “Australia has international blockbuster written all over it.” Meanwhile, over at The Age, Jim Schembri was somewhat less impressed, calling the film good but excessively lengthy and full of “Aussie cliches”.
