YouTube Clip Of The Day
KISS versus Michael Jackson. But of course.
As reader Elmo (the spunky lass who sent us the clip) so nicely puts it, "WHAT IN THE SHIT IS THIS?"

Guess what else featured on the amazing Chartbusting 80's DVD I watched on Friday night?
Get this Billy Ocean song up ya, for god's sake!
Aside from the glorious tune itself, highlights include totally spunky footage of Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas, a fine saxophone solo from Danny DeVito (who is about the same size as the instrument he's attempting to wrangle), some wonderful matching suits, and the best goddamn backing vocalist choreography I've ever witnessed. I have an overwhelming urge to hit the nearest karaoke bar and belt this puppy out.
Also: how good were clips in the eighties - a golden era when music videos featured big movie stars lip syncing enthusiastically? See Simon, P and his Chevy Chase-infused "You Can Call Me Al" clip.
This is without a doubt the greatest film trailer I've ever seen.
CHAIRBULANCE!
This song won't leave my head, and I have no idea what they're saying!
Some background - there's an Aussie fellow in that there girlgroup...
It's Amateur Cock Rock Tuesday!

Thanks for the suggestion, Elmo.
Further to our earlier mention of Bjork in our amazing piece of investigative journalism which bravely explored British pop singer Adele's burning desire to make the beast with two backs with the Icelandic singer's son Sindri (read: Adele mentioned to a British tabloid that she thought Sindri was "buff"), here's a Bjork themed clip.
In the following slice of YouTube, we are shown around Bjork's Icelandic home by the pixie queen herself...
Lovely.
Accompanying this interesting article regarding recent accusations directed toward Coldplay that the mega-selling British band ripped off the song 'Viva La Vida' from a group called Creaky Boards is the following YouTube clip created by the disgruntled frontman of the aforementioned ensemble.
Impressive mo, but what are your thoughts when it comes to the plagiarism complaint?
Ahhh, 1981 in Australia... a blissful, innocent time. A period where a man could compliment a woman's legs without fear of reprimand, and when ladies flashed their knickers with impressive regularity.
To celebrate, let's watch the following advertisement from "back in the day".
Awesome.
Today's YouTube Clip Of The Day was submitted by Tim C in response to our Sime Nugent gig competition yesterday. As a reward, Tim will find himself on the door (plus one) at Friday night's festivities at The East Brunswick Club.
East Coast living Defamer Australia readers should stay tuned, as we have tickets to give away for what should be an awesome July tour featuring two beloved Australian artists. Let's just say if you're a fan of Custard and/or Frente, and have a healthy admiration for the lead singer of each band's solo works too, then you'll be WELL PLEASED with what we have to offer you next week.
Via the ever wondrous b3ta.com, please marvel at the following escalator moves.
If anyone needs me, I'll be at my local shopping centre.
This is, frankly, fascinating.
A neuroanatomist suffered a stroke, and retells what happened in amazing detail. It gets quite deep and philosophical toward the end, too.
