Moving swiftly along, it’s time to shout “Huzzah!” (and possibly “Who cares!”) for Very Popular TM singer KT Tunstall has finally gotten hitched to her long term drummer boyfriend, disappointing lesbian fans everywhere who were convinced that Tunstall donning rainbow-coloured braces on a record cover meant her interests included diving and listening the kd lang.
Scots singer KT Tunstall married her fiance, drummer Luke Bullen, on the Isle of Skye. The 33-year-old from Fife exchanged her vows in a marquee overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
She wore a full-length white silk strapless gown and the groom wore a powder-blue morning suit as 150 friends and family descended on four-star Flodigarry Country House Hotel set amid the island’s stunning natural scenery.

Clement, 34, took a short break from writing the second series of the Conchords’ television show and wed his long-time girlfriend, Wellington actress and theatre director Miranda Manasiadis, in a Los Angeles registry office.
Sure, we were never really in with a chance – he’s been with Miranda for a billion years (likewise, Bret McKenzie also has a long term missus). But this makes things so… so final, you know?

Obviously, the world bids these two rapturously-in-love and talented ladies a lifetime of happiness together, though it’s interesting to see how those good wishes sometimes play themselves out. For starters, we have CNN’s headline on the nuptials, noticed by blogger Chexydecimal, which reads, “Ellen DeGeneres ‘marries’ Portia Rossi.” After complaints were lodged, they pulled the scare quotes—floating there like two chubby, hooked televangelist’s fingers—but kept De Rossi’s last name wrong. The perma-tanned and questionably moustachioed/hair-styled [V] and Idol host married his long-term girlfriend, Israeli actress and model Noa Tishby (they were an item when he was Bachelor Of The Year, in fact), and we’ll get to gawp at the pics in one of the glossies next week.
For the time being, here’s the blushing bride’s take on it all:
“We’re bringing in people from all over – Australia, LA, London, Switzerland and Amsterdam,” Tishby told The Jerusalem Post, before the marriage ceremony over the weekend.
“We’re going to schlepp them all over the country – Jerusalem and Yad Vashem and the Old City, then the Dead Sea, Masada, then the Kinneret and the North,” she said.
“Andrew’s been here many times and he’s obsessed with Israel – it was very important for us to have (the wedding) here and use the opportunity to show people the country.”

10:47AM Clem Bastow | This is some news that will no doubt make the author of this tribute video very happy indeed: if we are to believe Peter “Look Ma, I Made A Real Live Career Out Of This!” Timbs’ entertainment reportage, Portia de Rossi plans to bring her fiancee Ellen DeGeneres to meet the family in Geelong over summer before they wed.
This is also good news for the Australian tabloid media, who are always keen to claim a celebrity as “ours” after tenuous connections to the country are established – welcome to the crew, Ellen!
TV Week writer Peter Timbs appeared on Fox FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday where he announced the news.
He told radio listeners de Rossi, who grew up in Grovedale, would introduce DeGeneres, a US talk show host, to the family on their first trip Down Under as a couple. But it is de Rossi’s Geelong-based grandmother who is set to get the first visit.
“She (Ellen) actually wants to meet the grandmother,” Timbs said.
“Portia is quite close with the grandmother in Geelong and Ellen talks to her on the phone all the time but hasn’t met her face to face.
“But she is coming over at Christmas time to meet granny at last.”
Aww, dear old nanna Rogers will likely be thrilled to be in the papers, and we hope Ellen enjoys her time in G-Town. Maybe she can visit the National Wool Museum!
