3:16PM Jess McGuire | READERS! God, I miss you. I am in the middle of my journey home to you as we speak, typing away in Kuala Lumpur and counting down the hours until my flight to Melbourne. I cannot wait to get back to our “normal broadcasting schedule” from Monday onwards. More »

Which International Musician Fell Off A Roof?

10:08AM Jess McGuire | That’s not the beginning of a joke or anything, it’s a genuine question. Which international musician fell through the roof of a Brunswick warehouse, something that’s been reported in The Age this morning? Fan Death – ‘Reunited’

1:11PM Jess McGuire | The Internet TM appears to be losing its shit over this song by Canadian duo Fan Death. Not only did they immediately win me over with their nu-disco-Siouxsie Sioux-esque-pop tunes (I wish that was a real genre!), but the video is really very good. More »

Wild Beasts – ‘All The Kings Men’

11:40AM Jess McGuire | Alright, back from the BBC and am happy to report that Wild Beasts were quite bloody wonderful, and definitely worth checking out in your own time. While they were playing, soulful US singer Maxwell was pretty much losing his shit, dancing in the most adorable manner and nodding enthusiastically to his band to indicate how much he was enjoying Wild Beasts. Let’s have a listen! More »

Stereophonics – ‘Dakota’

12:54PM Jess McGuire | Does anyone else remember the 2005 Stereophonics song ‘Dakota’? I recall Popjustice’s shock at the time when it realised it was the best thing released that particular week in the UK, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s their best moment ever. More »
