Is Newly Single Sophie Monk Contemplating Becoming A Gayer?

So Sophie Monk has split with her rich older businessman fiance after a two month engagement. Sad news I suppose, especially because Sophie had earlier claimed that the millionaire was her soulmate. It’s always heartbreaking when celebrity love crashes and burns, isn’t it? But if there’s a remotely interesting side to this story, it’s that Sophie Monk is apparently considering a new way of life – or so she said while discussing the break up with US television host Chelsea Handler.

From the Herald Sun:

Sophie Monk has parted ways with her fiance, US-based French millionaire Jimmy Esebag, less than two months after becoming engaged, American talk show host Chelsea Handler says. The 31-year-old, who flew in to Australia from LA 10 days ago, will appear on the Chelsea Lately show tomorrow night to reportedly spill the beans on why she has split with the American-based businessman, the Herald Sun reported.

Are you ready for it?

Monk told Handler she was no longer engaged, was single and thinking of becoming a “Sam Ronson”.

Becoming a “Sam Ronson”, eh? My word. Is that Sophie’s clever way of saying she’s thinking about becoming a successful DJ? Does she crave a complex relationship with Lindsay Lohan? Is she planning on describing herself as “an equal opportunity player” in the near future, a move which will no doubt confuse everyone who associates functional haircuts with ladygays?

CLARIFY YOUR POSITION ON THIS ISSUE, MONK.

(And maybe call Mieke Buchan while you’re in town.)

  • Eh

I heard ‘I think I’m ready to join Team Samantha Ronson right now.’ which confuses me even more. Does she mean she wants to join the list of Aubrey O
Day and Courtney Cox – women who’ve admitted they crush on Sam. Holy shite if that’s the case – we don’t need another jealousy provoking incident to occur with Lohan, please…

Or does she just mean go and date women?
