Black Cab – “Sexy Polizei”

I’ve been listening to Melbourne outfit Black Cab’s new single ‘Sexy Polizei’ on repeat all morning on the iPod, and as a result I’ve been wandering the streets of Brunswick with a slightly menacing swagger. Join me, won’t you?

WIKIPEDIA FYI:

Black Cab is a Melbourne based drone guitar and electronica group. The band is heavily influenced by 70′s psychedelic rock coupled with elements of Krautrock and more programmed driven beats and electronic soundscapes. The band has released three full length albums and two EP’s.

In 2010 the band release a single “Sexy Polizei” featuring backing vocals from Melbourne songstress Monique Brumby and produced by Melbourne producer Simon Polinski.

Monique Brumby on backing vocals? I would never have guessed! Well done, everyone involved. A hearty pat on the back for you.

Black Cab are playing tomorrow night in Melbourne (at the East Brunswick Club), in Sydney on Friday night (at the Oxford Arts Factory), and in Brisbane on Saturday night (at HiFi Bar). I would strongly recommend you attend these shows and dance like a crazed Berliner to ‘Sexy Polizei’. Thank you for your time.
