Yves Klein Blue – ‘Getting Wise’

Man, I am really late when it comes to appreciating the Yves Klein Blue song ‘Getting Wise’. I enjoyed their breakthrough track ‘Polka’ but never got around to listening to their album properly. More fool me.

The other day I was wandering around London (yes, I will continuously mention my location until I get home, thanks for asking!) on a beautiful Autumn day and listening to my iPod shuffle and this song came on. And I couldn’t work out who it was! Incredibly frustrating. It led to me spending about half an hour mucking about on iTunes going through every single goddamn song on my Shuffle until I recognised the jaunty tinkly piano sound I’d come to love so much.

So here it is!

Bless ‘em. When I get home, I am going to put the whole Yves Klein Blue album ‘Ragged & Ecstatic’ on the proper iPod and I will give it the attention it deserves. And if it makes me happy in my heart, I’ll be sure to let you know.

PS: I realise there’s a good chance radio has been flogging this song over the last few months but I don’t own a radio, so back off.
