Which International Musician Fell Off A Roof?

That’s not the beginning of a joke or anything, it’s a genuine question. Which international musician fell through the roof of a Brunswick warehouse, something that’s been reported in The Age this morning? Honestly, I leave my neighbourhood for three weeks and I’m completely out of the loop when it comes to dangerous rooftop adventures.

Here’s what we know so far.

A visiting international musician who crashed through the roof of a warehouse in Melbourne’s north was lucky to escape with his life, say paramedics.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the band member fell through the roof of a warehouse in Sydney Road, Brunswick early today. He fell eight metres onto bicycles and a concrete floor below.

All good Brunswick warehouses are filled with bicycles, you know. Bicycles and art supplies.

The mysterious injured musician – The Age is asking readers to text in if they know his identity – is lucky to be alive.

“Even though he had fallen about eight metres, he is extremely lucky that he landed on his arm and side, and not on his head,” Ms Cantwell said.

“He has quite a severe fracture to his arm and possibly a fractured pelvis. He was in extreme pain and was given lots of pain relief and taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.”

Hmmmm. Who’s touring at the moment? Is John Mayer in town yet? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHO FELL THROUGH THE DAMN ROOF.

I’m going to hit up my Facebook peeps and see if they know anything. And if you know the identity of the fellow in question, get in touch!

Aren’t Good Charlotte in town? Are they even still called that? The Madden brothers, anyway.

I can’t picture the Maddens hanging out with a bunch of ferals on a grotty rooftop in Brunswick, hitting home made drums with the locals and drinking peppermint tea. Nope.

  • The guy was 24 years old. Can’t be too hard to work out, can it?

  • Plz God, not one of the Wu-Tang.

  • Er….won’t it be the muso who arrives on centre stage arm in a sling, walking on crutches…or in a wheelchair for the rest of the Oz tour?
