MasterChef’s Poh Has Joined The ABC

The ABC isn’t stupid – they saw a spunky youthful cook relegated to second place in a reality television show and quickly stepped in to sign her up for themselves. Now Poh Ling’s with the ABC! And if you ask me, it sounds as though she’s emerged as the real winner of MasterChef.

She may have missed out on the MasterChef Australia title to Julie Goodwin but runner-up Poh Ling Yeow has not left the series empty-handed. She has secured her own cooking show on the ABC along with a two-book deal with ABC Books.

The ABC confirmed yesterday that production will begin in November on the series Poh’s Kitchen in her home town of Adelaide. The year-long series will see the 35-year-old artist travelling across the nation trying new recipes.

She gets to keep Adelaide as her base, travel for work, cook for a living, earn decent money without being contracted to the Devil, and release not one but two books? Definitely a win for Poh.

I heard a really great piece of gossip about Poh yesterday but I can’t tell you or I’d get sued. SORRY. Don’t blame me, blame the law.
