Gretel Killeen Returning To The Small Screen

Even though I don’t particularly miss Big Brother, occasionally I do find myself thinking back to the glory days of the show, particularly Gretel Killeen’s insane costume choices and enthusiasm for alliteration. Her last attempt to return to the small screen didn’t exactly garner her rave reviews, but hopefully her appearance on The Morning Show next week will win back the hearts of the viewing public.

In fact, it’s not just Gretel getting a second chance at telly stardom – we can also expect to see the likes of Naomi Robson snuggled up next to Larry Emdur while Kylie Gillies enjoys a short holiday.

Naomi Robson and Gretel Killeen are both making a return to television next week in what is seen as an unofficial audition for Channel 7. Both former leading ladies of TV – Robson on Today Tonight and Killeen on Big Brother – will fill in for one day each on The Morning Show with Larry Emdur when host Kylie Gillies takes a break.

Five different guest hosts will fill the chair each day as male celebrities did when Emdur took a break – but Killeen and Robson are the only ones from both groups of guests to have extensive on-air experience.

Is it wrong to hope that someone famous dies on the day Naomi Robson is hosting so she can dress up like them as a tribute?

Who are the other three guest hosts? Stephanie Rice, Ada Nicodemou, and Kate Ceberano. It’ll be interesting to see how well these three ladies perform on live television – especially Stephanie Rice. I’ve only ever seen her in a pool, or in a magazine. Is she charismatic? I often find sports stars thrust in front of a camera to be rather wooden, but let’s hope for the best.
