Breaking: Patrick Swayze Dead At 57

Sad news this morning- Patrick Swayze, the actor who made many hearts a’flutter when he refused to put baby in a corner, has died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

A statement released by his publicist said, “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.” No other details were given.

The actor, famous for his roles in Ghost and Dirty Dancing, had been battling the illness since February 2008.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lisa Niemi. The couple had no children.
