Bernard Curry To Host Beauty And The Geek
Channel Seven have just announced that actor Bernard Curry, who currently plays the role of de-lezonator Hugo Austin on Home & Away, will host their new reality show Beauty And The Geek.
Bernard is perfect for the job, because he likes Quantum Leap. Or something.
Channel Seven today announced self professed “geek” Bernard Curry will host its new feel good reality show, Beauty and the Geek Australia. Production begins this week on the local version of the international smash hit series, to premiere on Seven next month.
Bernard will be in the middle of the action, as our ‘beauties’ and ‘geeks’ from around Australia are paired up as couples for the ultimate social experiment, competing for $100,000 in prize money. Currently starring as Hugo Austin on Home and Away, Bernard has the right mix of “beauty and geek” to host this series, confessing to an unusual love of quantum physics.
“I’m very interested in quantum mechanics and physics,” he says. “I’ve read a fair bit about it and am fascinated by how deep it is. I’m looking forward to chatting to some of the guys about it.”
No pictures yet of the contestants, but we do know their first names.

Comments
I hope Xenogene hooks up with Hadassah. Then they can name their kids Warglebort and Finkelstein.
Sounds like a match made in WoW.
Pardon my ignorance but what is the point of this show? I think all it will be doing is giving these fellas a 12 month back catalogue for their Spank Bank. I am surprised they didn’t just drag a collective of the women who hang out at Sydney’s biggest tool shed (no, not Bunnings), the Ivy. If its vacuous women you seek, then there ye shall find.
Every one of the women are under 25 too, which automatically rules out any independent thought process. I just hope these fellas can openly discuss what been happening on ‘The Hills’ or ‘Gossip Girl’, or at the very least know how to carry 6 Bacardi Breezers back from the bar for her and her 5 squawking mates. This will be like ‘Taken Out’ but without the dopey blokes.
looks like South Australia is over-represented in the “beauty” (read: dumb-ass) category. ahhhh Adelaide, i love you but i love you more now i dont live there.
