Rove McManus Will Not Be Tricked Into Talking About The New Missus
Oh look! Rove’s given an interview to Michael Lallo where he declines to talk about his private life in detail! This is pretty standard, isn’t it?
Watch how Rove deftly dodges Michael’s attempts to make him talk about new wife Tasma Walton.
McManus is guarded. It’s not that he’s unfriendly – far from it – but there’s an undercurrent of suspicion. It’s almost as if he’s waiting for the inevitable invasion of privacy – not surprising given the media scrutiny he endured during the illness and death of his wife, Belinda Emmett, in 2006.
I don’t intend to grill him about his personal life. But even when I ask about the media storm surrounding his wedding to actor Tasma Walton in June, he gives a sarcastic laugh, as if to say, “Nice try”. Then he crosses his arms and raises his eyebrows.
Thankfully he’s a lot more open about his relationship on Twitter.

Bless him.
I was lost in the middle of the Victorian countryside until the wee hours last night and missed Rove’s return to the small screen – how was Judith Lucy? Will she make me happy like she always does?

Judith Lucy was a bit over-the-top with her cynicism and self-deprecation. I think she was trying too hard on her first day.
But she was still funny.
“People on the street respect that my private life is my private life. They don’t want to know the ins and outs because they’re polite.”
Or, because they couldn’t give two shits. I don’t mind Rove but I truly couldn’t care less about his private life, no matter how incredulous Michael Lallo is about it.
