Kate Langbroek Returns To The Airwaves

In the shortest turn around between giving birth to a human being and returning to work ever, Kate Langbroek was back on the airwaves on Nova 100 this morning just over a month after giving birth to fourth child Jan. As one industry insider put it when they heard the news – “That’s insane… SHE’S INSANE!”

I suppose girlfriend just loves her day job. Here’s what the MediaWeek newsletter had to say:

Kate Langbroek returned to Nova 100’s Hughesy and Kate in Melbourne this morning. Kate said, “My time at home with demanding children will see me well-equipped to handle Hughesy and Ed. Bags not having to change their nappies though.”

Kate has spent the past six weeks on maternity leave caring for her four children – Jan, born 17 July 2009, Lewis (six years old), Sunday (four) and Art (two).

Hughesy said, “It has been heaps of fun bickering with Mick Molloy, but I am rapt to have Kate’s perspective of the world back. I am sure she will be pleased to have a respite from four kids at home.”

The show featured an appearance from Mike and Tyson from All American Rejects who were interviewed by Kate while she was expressing milk via a breast pump.

At least Mick Molloy can return to enjoying weekday sleep ins.
