Jamie Durie Was Not Dumped By Oprah, Thank You Very Much!
Celebrity gardener Jamie Durie has a bone to pick with New Idea – it seems the troubled ladymag has “defamed” the former stripper (hey, that’s my job!) by informing its readers that Oprah had dumped Durie from her talk show. Durrr! They weren’t even going out, New Idea, so how could Jamie have been dumped!?

Channel 7’s star gardener Jamie Durie has upped the ante and engaged lawyers in his battle against New Idea – the network’s sister publication which is also overseen by his boss David Leckie.
Durie was infuriated by a June story in the magazine which claimed he had been “dumped” by Oprah Winfrey’s company Harpo Productions and lost his contract after several appearances on her top-rating show. Durie said he had been defamed because there never was a contract, and that he only went on her show on an appearance by appearance basis.
Got that? Oprah and Jamie Durie were just seeing each other on a very casual basis, and he’s certainly not upset with her for ending things, because there was nothing to end. Right? And no, Jamie does not care about Oprah seeing fellow Aussie Curtis Stone. Why would he? Shut up.
