Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner/Trivia?

As you may or may not know, I host rock and pop culture trivia at the East Brunswick Club every Tuesday night. And it just so happens that The East, as it is affectionately known amongst Melburnians, is now pop singer Pink’s new favourite pub. I had my fingers crossed that Pink would attend a trivia night there before she finished up her tour Down Under, and my dream came true! Sort of!

You see, even though very few people knew Pink was coming to The East last night, the front bar was madness – completely packed! And the total lack of chairs meant that Pink – who apparently did want to play (although she was concerned there would be too many “Aussie” questions) – couldn’t actually get a table for her and her gal pals, so she had to stay in the dining room next door.

OUR TRIVIA WAS SO BUSY, EVEN PINK COULDN’T GET A TABLE.

She left early-ish, but I did get to chat to her guitarist Kat after I was finished with hosting responsibilities. And I ended up promising her that I would announce publicly on Defamer Australia that Kat is fucking awesome, so here it goes.

Also, when we played Tits & Arse (long story, come to trivia some time and find out exactly what happens during this idiotically named activity) and the theme songs “Shake That Ass Bitch” began blaring from the speakers, Pink’s dancers carved up a storm while waiting for a drink at the front bar. It was impressive.

From all reports Pink was just as lovely as the last time she popped into The East, and her entourage (at least the members I spoke to) were a thorough delight.
