Flotsam & Jetsam

Which Party Girl Is Nearly Bald From Hair Extension Abuse?

Today we have a lady who ruined her hair with extensions, a comedy actor whose drug habit is taking a toll on his film work, and a nice actor couple who are facing cheatin’ issues.

1) “Which hard-partying reality starlet is nearly bald after years of abusing hair extensions? The gal’s actual locks are only 2 inches long!” [NYDN]

2) “What B- list movie and television comedy actor is currently having to reshoot many scenes from a recent movie. He has been doing so many drugs on his film that he has wildly different looks from one scene to the next depending on when it was shot. It has become so bad that more scenes are being written into the movie for other actors in an attempt to create a story without using many of our comic actor’s scenes and story line.” [CDaN]

3) “These two over-30 actors always appeared to be pretty happy together. As far as we know, both have worked steadily throughout their careers, neither has ever been to rehab, and they seem like good parents. Why are they suddenly having problems? Seems that our actor got a little too friendly with a cute extra on one of his recent film projects. He was spied in his trailer with the extra. Both at least partially undressed. In a horizontal position. He’ll be lucky if he doesn’t get kicked to the curb.” [BlindGossip]

@BxgrlJeri: it's easier when celebs have fake hair to process rather than real hair....so much blow drying, curling, hair goop....real hair would fall out, extentions make it easier.

How does one ever find out the answers to these??

    mondo13

  • Rosemary Compagnone Bellerive

#3 definitely has to be kevin and kyra...the way they are described as 'having worked steadily' over the years makes me think that they are not as high profile as a ben affleck but have been in the business for quite awhile.

#1: New York, from Flavor of Love.

  • Helennellieforsythe

    2. Matthew Perry?

  • WhoaMama

No, I take back the second part of the above answer. Ben Affleck was in rehab, so it can't be Ben and Jen.

    WhoaMama

  • WhoaMama

Number 3: Cheatin' actor couple is Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany. Okay, but maybe, really, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. One or the other Jennifer.

@unclesahm: I know tnem (through their son) and if they're having problems, they're doing an amazing job of hiding it. I think Ben and Jen, unfortunately.

  • dinergirl

@jerusalemcricket: "Worked steadily" and "recent film project" reeks of producing to me, of which Tom and Rita have done quite a bit.

  • MarsyMars

    @Wendy_Kroy:
I was thinking the same thing. Hate to say it... but he fits the prompt perfectly.

  • The Curse of Millhaven

    2. Is clearly Ricky Gervais.

  • Conchie Birdie

@unclesahm: Has Kyra worked steadily tho?

  • TwiceShy

@hatey: Could very well be her crack head stylist from the show fucked her hair up bad.

  • Wendy_Kroy

I really hope No. 2 isn't Jason Segel.

  • N.Bells

@kevipants!: they are both well past 30

  • GabriellaBelus

Can't be BenJen - Ben's been to rehab.

    @jjdaddyo:

Being 40+ qualifies as over 30... maybe the tipster didn't want to narrow it down too much.

  • BadKarma

How does one abuse hair extensions?

  • MissPeacock

@unclesahm: That was my first thought as well.

  • kevipants!

@jerusalemcricket: Well, she has steadily done a couple of guest TV spots and movies. It's not like she went from churning out 9 movies in a year to 1 TV guest spot every 6 years. Right?

I mean, steady doesn't mean 'all the time', it just means no fluctuation in the amount/manner.

Or is my ESL acting up again?

  • jjdaddyo

3- I think Sara Jessica and Matt and Kyra and Kevin are all over 40, no? That would seem to make Ben and Jen a more likely couple (both are 36).

    @BadUncle: Ha!

    I'm sorry Miss Lohan
    Your hair ain't for real!

Maybe that's why she has extensions; she apparently had lice in her eyebrows.

  • Mean_Ol_Liberal

@BadUncle: Not everyone's hair will grow straight AND full. People of N. European descent can get straight long hair, but it will tend to get heavy and flat, so it looks stringy. People of S. European descent can get long hair, but it may tend to curl and frizz too much at the ends. And people of African descent are typically SOL in trying to get long straight hair. Growing African hair "long" usually means growing it out - as in all directions away from the head and it's so curly that it knots too easily.

Extensions are like the Size 0 of hair, everyone wants the look, but precious few real people have hair that will do it.

  • dandles

I was thinking Courney Cox and David Arquette, but they've had rumors of problems.

  • xoxoGossipGirl

    @Wannabeer:

Who have also been rumored to be in the process of divorce forever!

    xoxoGossipGirl

  • Wannabeer

    2 sounds like Mr. Spade.
3 -- I'd say Afflecks except they've been rumored to be in the process of divorce for forever now, so I'm going with Sara Jessica and Matthew Broderick.

    3. Are Sarsgaard and Gyllenhaal both over 30? I think so. No idea if this is them, but they popped in my mind as seemingly sane and reasonable people who have a kid together.

  • mockingbird

@hatey: I could agree with you, if, say I had watched the show. But I haven't, so I don't wonder why VH1 didn't get her to fix that awful weave when they saw how it looked in close ups. Or if she'll end up with 12 Pack in some kind of reality show cast-off maelstrom.

  • Maujer

    3) The Afflecks?

  • DaveCrabtree

@dinergirl: Ooh, it sounds like this is more than just idle speculation, dinergirl. C'mon, spill the beans.

  • irishflyesq

    3- Will and Jada?

@BadUncle: I've known people with amazing natural long hair be advised to cut it off and get extensions. Truly, some people have lost the plot.

    1) michael jackson (peach fuzz?), 2) kiefer sutherland,

  • unclesahm

#3: Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick?

  • dinergirl

    3. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. And the cute extra may not have been female.

  • roxymilo

@BadUncle: Hair that is naturally long never looks the way that say Heidi's (of Spedi) does. It gets thinner and stringier. Almost every full head of long hair you see in Hollywood is not real.

  • hatey

    1. Daisy de la Hoya from "Daisy of Love."

You can totally tell. If you watch the show. Which I would obviously never do. Because I have good taste.

    Ahem.

  • BxgrlJeri

@BadUncle: I've always thought the same thing. What's with hair extensions?

Sometimes I'd like my hair fuller but when I think of it is never when I have a hair extension lying around.

  • rudi_freude

    @BadUncle:
I believe celebrities and models use extensions to allow them to change their looks almost instantly, or to enhance the beauty and fullness - or lack thereof - of their natural hair .

Then again, wigs can do the same job, with less stress on the tress.

    rudi_freude

  • jenndavo

@MsMuffinMcGuffin: That's what I was thinking, but didn't Ben go to rehab a few years ago? That would disqualify him.

    jenndavo

  • Marcia Howard

@BadUncle: um, some of us take YEARS to grow our hair long. And most of that "full" head of hair you see on starlets came straight from a factory in India.

    Marcia Howard

  • BadUncle

I don't get hair extensions. I mean, why do they exist? Why not just grow your hair long?

  • MsMuffinMcGuffin

    3 - Ben and Jen

  • Rumpelstilskin

    3. Mark Sanford and Maria?

    1.) Not again, Paris!
