When Marriage Proposals On The Footy Show Go Wrong

The internet is great for sharing videos starring those incredibly unlucky in love types who get publicly rejected after their grand romantic gestures go terribly wrong. But I can’t recall seeing one on Australian television… until now. Clem alerted me to this video – it features a man proposing to his woman on The Footy Show, and as you can probably guess, it doesn’t end well.

The person who uploaded the video says:

On the special edition episode of the NRL Footy Show in Brisbane, Fatty and Australian Miss Universe introduced a man who proposed to his girlfirend of 3 years in front of a crowd of thousands and milions of TV viewers. She was panicing and saying “you cannot do this now”, she ran of the stage and left the man on stage with Fatty and Australias Miss Universe. I do not know if this was real or a stunt, fatty didn’t know if i was a stunt or not , just watch the clip

Apparently it was very real. Poor dude :(

“That hasn’t gone that well…” = UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY, FATTY.

  • Best rejection ever!

    *shit pants and run*

  • I can’t help but think it’s fake, actually. She just seems like she’s acting – and not very well. And she’s really nervous but in the way a person about to perform is.

I remember when we used to do prank calls at school – often the brainstorming and rehearsal would go great but when it came to the execution, we would get all nervous and usually stuff it up. It would come out all fast and crazy…exactly like the woman’s ‘you can’t do this now’.

    Yep, definitely fake to me.

That is just so clearly a set-up. Give your readers some credit.
