Current TV journalist Euna Lee—currently imprisoned in North Korea—summoned the Swedish ambassador to pass on a message to her husband: Make sure he sent in their daughter’s summer school registration form. *Tear.* [via BayNewser]

Euna Lee is married to my cousin Michael and it literally makes me nauseous everytime I think about the situation she is in.
I love our beloved Obama and Hillary for doing all they can in this situation. Oh wait, they aren't. Where's the damn outrage? It seems to have come and gone swiftly. When that woman was imprisoned in Iran they were all over it until she was freed. Obama and Hillary make me sick.... they're all about posturing, that's all. I don't care if my sentiment pisses anyone off, Euna is my family and I feel powerless. Euna and Laura worked for Al Gore's Current TV channel and that isn't even putting a fire under anyone's ass, WTF?
I spent a few holidays with Euna and Michael and I still remember her greeting me with a hug. She's a very sweet, genuine person, as evidenced by this article.

I hear Laura Ling summoned the Swedish ambassador to pass a message to her sister telling her to slap that bitch Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Its her own fault. I'm around her age, also Korean American, my parents, probably just like hers, lived through the Korean War. Given all of that, it's not like my parents had to sit down and tell me that North Korea was bad. And maybe that messing with North Korea is a bad idea.
I hope she gets released, but she did it to herself. Its a damn river that separates North Korea and China, I've been there to do humanitarian work for NK refugees. Those two just made that job alot harder

If they ever get out, their careers are pretty much made.
Imagine going to NK to film some interviews with peasants and then ending up in the middle of an international incident, imprisoned in the most insular country in the world. Now, that's a story.

Why can't any of Al Gore's fancy Hollywood pals give her husband a gig?
On a side note, I've heard that Laura Ling won't take any letters from her former cameraman/producer. Hmmm.

...I think I'm going to call my mom now. Actually, I'll head over to her house tonight for a hug.

I'm sure her captors are poring over this report looking for hidden evidence of her espionage.
