oh grimmy I hate the “The entire Cinema is Empty, But I am Going To Sit Near You” thing! I find it so creepy. Our local cinema assigns seats and I don't know if they're allocating us all near each other on purpose but even though most of the sessions we attend are half (to almost) empty, someone always sits right in front, behind or next to us... even though there are empty seats galore! I could understand if we were in the good seats but it even happens when we sit on the side.

The last time we went to a movie the cinema was empty but this lady still checked her ticket and the seat numbers and sat right next to us.. WTF?! Lady, you don't have to sit in your allocated seat if the cinema is empty.. it was just weird..

It is also known as "Dancing on the Bandwagon"; "The Lemming Effect"; "I'll Have What They're Having"; "The Bystander Syndrome"; "The entire Cinema is Empty, But I am Going To Sit Near You;" or "This is a Wonderful Thing, Let Us All Go There."
I loved the artistry of the one man believing in himself. The arrival of others diluted the powerful effect. If only it could have stopped at the 3 of them.
It is a metaphor for the ruination of all that is special.
