Things Learned From This Month’s Edition Of The Australian Women’s Weekly

The Australian Women’s Weekly isn’t just for older women who dress like Maggie Tabberer and are keenly interested in the goings on at Pat McDermott’s house (Man Of The House aka MOTH = GOOD TIMES). It is also a legitimate read for bored 28 year olds loitering at a cafe waiting for a store they thought opened at 9am to finally let her in the door. Don’t question me.

Here are a few things I learned from this month’s edition of The Australian Women’s Weekly.

- If you used your breakfast money to buy it, then the thing just paid for itself – a free packet of Uncle Toby’s Oats! HELLA YEAH!

- Mary Moody regrets her facelift.

- Queensland Premier Anna Bligh got married to her partner of 20 years in 2005. How very recent!

- Dave Hughes looks horrifying in drag (thank you, advertisement for Whirlpool)

- Leisel Jones LOVES her new brunette look, and is excited about graduating from beauty school in a year’s time.

- Mandy Rogers aka Portia de Rossi is a vegan, and so is her missus Ellen. She says “The benefit of it is weight loss – for her more than me. Her body responded to it very well.”

- And my biggest personal WTF moment? Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi once covered Korn’s Freak On A Leash for a US reality program called Rock The Cradle.

We must view this immediately.

There you have it. Should I begin summarising other magazines to save you time? I will consider it.

Oh my God, WHY do we not have this show here?

what a glorious car crash of the show! the only thing more cringe-inspring than Chloe’s performance is her horrid plastic surgery. She’s on a one stop road to Joselyn Wildenstein country!

    excellent field research jess!
