“Jorge Colombo drew this week’s cover using Brushes, an application for the iPhone, while standing for an hour outside Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square.” [New Yorker]
Brushes has a companion app called Brushes Viewer that records the creation of a drawing from start to finish, and we’ve posted the video of Colombo creating his cover art below.

@naboo: Pues, el new yorker nunca puede ser punk rock, corazon.
At least the gal has a nice figure. What? You noticed it too.
@flathead: They'll be paying by the hour from now on.

He should have used Facebook's graffiti app!
cute and all, but i wouldn't be telling a magazine that probably pays in the $5-10K range for a cover how little time and effort it took. I bet David Remnick has himself an iPhone, too!

@naugahydeinplainsight: She's ticklish, and I have a mouse.
@CaptainFantastic: This is a family website. :-)

swagv
@CaptainFantastic: Is that why she's smiling?
@naboo:
