If you’re having a half-arsed Friday and need some sweet tunes from yesteryear to help you get through it, may I suggest listening to John Cougar Mellencamp’s “Cherry Bomb”?

There’s no real reason for this other than the fact it came on the radio the other night and I went from feeling incredibly sooky to elated in a matter of seconds.
