Some Kelly Clarkson Related Information.

I love it when my good virtual buddy Dude From Sony sends me emails that are clearly a shameless attempt at marketing a new product but worded in a way that they briefly seem as though it could be just a little fun between mates.

But because I am now apparently going to be “hanging out” (<-- OMG IS THIS A DATE) with Australian Idol winner Wes Carr on Thursday afternoon thanks to the good folks at his record company, I am prepared to copy and paste their shameless attempt to plug the new Kelly Clarkson record.

Want to hear the entire new Kelly Clarkson album in 3 minutes? Check out this awesome little mashup – really shows just how many hit singles there are on this new album, me thinks!

The album ALL I EVER WANTED is out this Friday. *excitement…*

What do you think? Is the new Kelly Clarkson stuff amazing, or will she be forever cursed by the fact nothing will ever top the extreme awesomeness of Since U Been Gone?

After the jump, an excerpt from a hilarious Kelly Clarkson interview with Popjustice.Frankly, I think the pop music god just confused her.

Is there a window in that room?
Yes.

What can you see out of it?
All my land, and ponds, and animals. I have seven horses, four miniature horses, and eight dogs.

Do you ever line all the animals up according to size, from smallest on the left to biggest on the right?
No.

This bit also made me laugh heartily.

What’s the relationship between hats and music?
Hats… And music?

Do people make better music when they’re wearing hats?
Am I on Punk’d?

No Kelly it’s just an interview. Clearly there might not be a relationship between hats and music. But there might be. What do you think?
I don’t know – there’s funky hats, there’s sophisticated hats, there’s conservative hats…

In the world of jazz, for example, people wear an above-average number of hats.
They totally have a fedora style in jazz. But I don’t know. I’m not that deep.

What’s the worst song on the album?
Umm… (Kelly’s PA bellows “THEY’RE ALL GREAT” across the room)

Oh, Popjustice. You’re too good.

The album is alright but far too long (14 songs!) Although it bodes well that “My Life Would Suck Without You” is one of the worst on there. “I Don’t Hook Up”, “If I Can’t Have You” (with a chorus straight out of a futuristic Jane Fonda exercise tape set on Mars) and “Don’t Let Me Stop You” are all EXCELLENT.

this is going to be her second best album. i hope she releases ‘i do not hook up’.

i do hope this one is as successful as breakaway!
