I think she looks much more carefree in the earlier photos, but she is drop dead elegant and sophisticated in the new photos. She just looks miserable.

I was about to say, wearing black fitted outfits make you look thinner, and wearing heavy makeup makes you look more severe/less happy. I don't think there's much difference other than those things.

I saw Scarlett in the NYC Saks back in 2005. She was extremely curvy and looked AMAZING! It's so sad to see her kowtowing to the Hollywood "ideal"

Actresses have to lose weight for work sometimes and that is a drag. And Scarlett likes to eat. I have seen her out at dinner polishing off a big old plate of food and good on her.

Except for the extreme differences in makeup, pose, and dress. And seriously, have we forgotten that black is slimming? Also notice the bust on both of these dresses, there obviously looks like a difference in breast size when in one photo they are pushed up and supported and the other they are not.
