Katy Perry’s Golden Shower
My friend Nerida sent me the following story, cheekily adding “Chimps aren’t all bad” – yes, it seems my hatred of chimpanzees is known far and wide – and I found it amusing. Katy Perry, the pop star I find extremely irritating and yet the lass who delivered one of the best songs of last year to the charts (kills me to say that) was recently urinated upon by a chimpanzee.

Perry appears in a photo-shoot in the latest issue of Miss Behave magazine, and blogged about the honor of being shot and dressed by photographer/designer Jeremy Scott for the issue. The only problem is that there was a chimp on the set that day. Who relieved herself on the “I Kissed a Girl” singer.
Heh. However, Katy appears to have dealt with the ordeal with good humour, and also a fantastic pop culture reference.
“I had a chimp on set with me that day…fun fact, she peed all over me, I had to take a silkwood shower in the middle of shooting,” she blogged. If you’ve never seen Silkwood, Meryl Streep plays a nuclear power-plant worker who gets contaminated and has to be scrubbed down in a raging hot shower with big brushes.
Please don’t make me like you, Katy Perry. Or if you must, please cease making video blogs that make me reach for a fork to plunge deep into my eye sockets.
