Good News For Fans Of Elle Macpherson’s Acting Career!
Are you one of the few people on the planet who’d actively celebrate news that the woman cleverly nicknamed The Body (by fans of, erm, her body) had decided to turn her perfectly manicured hand to acting once more? You’re crazy, but you’re in luck.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson is restarting her acting career starring in a new TV drama.
TV drama? This can only end well, and with Emmy nods.
Macpherson, who recently became one of the faces of Revlon cosmetics, has joined the cast of A Beautiful Life, produced by Demi Moore’s husband, Ashton Kutcher.
Ashton Kutcher produces movies? However does he find the time when he’s so damn busy updating his Twitter account? I may mock, but I secretly love that he and the missus are quite obviously mad about each other and not afraid of displaying their affections in front of hundreds of thousands of people on a social networking site.
Back to Elle! Joined by the likes of Mischa Barton and Ashley Madekwe (who?), the show is set in a house filled with models. And guess which character Our Elle will be portraying?
Macpherson, 45, will portray Claudia, a former ’80s supermodel who still stays in shape and is the tough but savvy owner of the Focus Models agency. It won’t be her first foray into acting. The model, turned hugely successful business woman, dabbled in acting in the ’90s, appearing topless in the Australian film Sirens, and landing roles in Batman & Robin, If Lucy Fell and The Edge.
God, I really must go and rent Sirens. Not for Elle’s boobs, mind you. I’d like to watch it so I can take a stroll down memory lane – I used to frolic around Norman Lindsay’s house as a child with my grandmother during school holidays, you see… with my tits out.
