Fred Durst Reveals One Of The Many Reasons Limp Bizkit Had To Be Destroyed For The Sake Of Humanity

Fred Durst has shared with fans a touching moment of realisation he had regarding his nu-metal monster Limp Bizkit, explaining that he knew the band had to die once he realised just what kind of person enjoyed his musical prowess.

Fred Durst has revealed that he decided it was time to call it a day with Limp Bizkit when he realised that their music had become bullies’ anthems.

He tells Eonline.com, “I got beat up all the time in high school. I was the underdog. All of my angst comes from that (time) in my life.

“The irony is, Limp Bizkit, for a while, was the fuel for bullies to beat up a lot of these underdogs. That’s when I decided to stop. I was like, ‘You know, that’s me they’re beating up, and my music is fuelling them.’ So I held back for a while.”

That’s certainly a valid and wonderful reason for putting Limp Bizkit on the back burner for a while, Mr Durst. Sadly no mention of the fact they were complete rubbish and represent a heinous time in popular music.

Also sad:

Limp Bizkit recently reunited and have announced a string of 2009 summer dates around the world.

Please not Australia, please not Australia, please not Australia…

Even if Limp Bizkit aren’t your thing, I’d be keen to see them down under. I think they’ve made some fantastic music.

  • The funniest thing is how Fred Durst keeps on popping up in the media acting like he is still somehow relevant.

I mean look at him! Dude. You look like you just crawled out of the OPSM dumpster.

BTW your guitar solos suck ass:

Check out “The Education of Charlie Banks” Who would have thought the frontman for Limp Bizkit would direct such a heartfelt, emotional, coming-of-age tale? Excellent acting from a fresh, young cast combined with sincere storytelling. A must see.

I’ve created a Facebook group to bring them to Australia: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=61409822049&ref=ts

Limp Bizkit is my favourite band and I wasn’t the school bully by any means, I have all five studio albums from Three Dollar Bill Ya’ll$ up to and including The Unquestionable Truth Part 1. Their albums are different in their own way which goes to show how diverse Limp Bizkit is.

If the people who continually diss Limp Bizkit actually bothered to listen to these albums all the way through they would probably change their minds on them.

There are some songs like Rollin’ that are no where near as good as my favourite LB songs like Don’t Go Off Wandering, The Truth, Counterfeit and Boiler, but LB haters tend to assume that all their songs are like Rollin’ which is simply not true.

Further, wouldn’t they be wiser to diss music that actually does suck, such as about 90% of the shit arse music and teenie bop songs you hear on radio stations such as The Fox and Mix 101.1? Now those stations play shit music!

  • wants to know if they are actually coming to Australia, as i would like to go, have they said they are or not??
