4:56PM Jess McGuire | As it’s been a few months since I saw the charming Louis Theroux special where, in the hope of landing an interview with Michael Jackson, he spent time standing outside hotels where the self-proclaimed King Of Pop happened to be staying and filmed the reactions of his fans, I’d happily forgotten just how batshit crazy Michael Jackson supporters are.
Happily, my friend Adem recently alerted me to a Facebook group which really hammers home the fact that Michael Jackson obsessives are the creepiest and least mentally balanced people on earth. Fact.
It is called The Anointed Michael Followers and it describes itself as follows.

4:24PM Jess McGuire | This might sound a bit stupid to the rest of you, but when I read the following quote from Our Kylie™ about how much she loved working in India, I couldn’t help but find her choice of words somewhat jarring, as though they were the kind of thing I could expect a big tough guy to mumble during an emotional moment, but not the thing I’d pick a tiny pop pixie from Australia to mutter.
Kylie Minogue was so thrilled to work in Bollywood she may do it again. The pop princess has been in India recording a song for big-budget blockbuster Blue with double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman.

9:48AM Jess McGuire | Here’s some interesting news if your favourite thing in the world is Australian network television executives playing with the timeslots of shows you love deeply before throwing them out the window entirely and digging up some cheap hateful C-grade American sitcom schlock involving a fat man and a wife who is so far out of his league it’s not even funny – there are a couple of Oz tv shows in mortal danger!
In a move sure to infuriate viewers, television executives are poised to swing the axe on dud shows just a month into the ratings survey. Panicky programmers have been forced to make changes early, shifting or shafting poorly performing programs to please advertisers.
The changes have come swiftly, with every channel already “resting” programs and the axe looms over at least five more shows.
And what shows are in danger? More »
