Tasma Walton Has No Idea What’s Going On

Reet reet reet! Week Old News Desk™ here with a special comment on reports which emerged on Monday about Rove McManus and his girlfriend Tasma Walton going head to head in the Sunday night ratings.

Actor Tasma Walton has landed a regular gig on City Homicide, which will see her go up against her boyfriend, Rove McManus, in the Sunday ratings battle. The actor will play profiler Det-Sen-Sgt Claudia Leigh on the hit Channel 7 show.

City Homicide this year moves to the 8.30pm timeslot, which will see Walton go up against McManus when he returns to Channel 10 later in the month in what will be a tough Sunday night ratings battle.

“I don’t really keep my eye on that kind of stuff,” Walton said when informed of the scheduling clash.

Wait, she doesn’t “keep an eye” on that kind of stuff? I don’t know about you, but I find this news troubling. I can only conclude one of the following scenarios is true.

&middot Tasma has no idea when her own show is going to air, in which case I would strongly urge the Channel 7 publicity department not to use her to flog the program…. “Yeah, filming the show was pretty fun. When can the public watch it? Oh, I don’t know, really. I don’t keep an eye on that kind of stuff. Maybe wait until it comes out on DVD…”

&middot Tasma has not yet worked out what Rove does for a living. What happens on Sundays at their place? Where does she think he’s nicked off to when he leaves the house for hours to record his talk show? For an incredibly long shop at Safeways?
