Magda Szubanski Is The Biggest Loser!
Not all that long ago, comic and Jetstar enthusiast Magda Szubanski made a vow to lose weight in order to save her life. She became the spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, and by god! In a couple of months, she’s managed to lose a hell of a lot of weight.
Public humiliation is the new diet tip.Comedienne Magda Szubanski is winning her weight battle inspired by the threat of being shamed in public. The TV and stage star, who tipped the scales at a peak of 121kg last year, has shed up to 20kg but has another 20kg to go to reach her goal weight of around 80kg. “It’s going really well,” Magda said. “I’m thrilled. I’m past the half-way mark.”
And good for her. If she’s feeling much healthier and confident about herself, and she’s losing weight the right way, then I couldn’t be more supportive. After all, the article goes on to mention all the ways Magda’s weight had begun to affect her body negatively…
She has endured a long battle with her weight and was prompted to join Jenny Craig because of her deteriorating health. At 47, she was suffering from sleep apnoea, sore joints, lethargy, reflux and infected lungs.
If she’s already lost 20kg, by the time the ‘After’ ads hit the telly, we’re going to have to get used to a very different looking Magda Szubanksi.
I just hope she keeps her comedy mojo even when the weight drops off! I am happy for Skinny Mikey Robbins, but he lost a lot of his lovable jolliness when he lost eight thousand kilos after having lap band surgery.

magda loosing 16 or 20 kg is like taking one swipe at one of those blocks of butter, she so proudly holds up,with a butter knife.

I am absolutely blown away by Magdas weight loss I wish my wife would do the same!! She is a big fat frag. Magda you look absolutely beautiful I wish I was closer to give you a hug because your photo is etched on my brain and I hope you stay like this for a few years you are so beautiful. Congratulations for sticking to your criteria and it has certainly worked. I just cant get my wife to accept that she’s FAT but she is believe me. Neil
Congratulations Magda on your weightloss. In you Jenny Craig Ad you say the fat is gone. Just a reminder – IT’S NOT GONE. It’s still there. Fat is like a sleeping monster, just waiting for you to cross the line AND it will explode again. The only way to get rid of fat for ever is liposuction, according to Oprah’s Dr Oz. I know!!.
