It’s Really All About What You Yell As You Throw, Isn’t It?

So another world leader has taken a leaf out of George W. Bush’s book and found himself the object of a shoe-flinging dissident’s footwear. This time it was Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao who happened to be the unlucky statesman copping a boot to the head.

It was flung with fervour by a British student at Cambridge, who has really proven without a doubt that what makes a shoe thrower seem hip and appealing in the eyes of The Kids™ is what he says when he throws said shoe. In this case? I declare a massive FAIL.

A speech by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at Britain’s Cambridge University has been interrupted by a protester who threw a shoe at him and shouted: “This is a scandal”.

That’s the best you could come up with, oh Pot Noodle scoffing student type? It’s not quite “It is the farewell kiss, you dog!“, now is it? Disappointing.
