Derryn Hinch Is Here To Help You With Your Drinking Problem

You know who I’d trust to guide me in the ways of drinking? Derryn Hinch. Now there’s a man who knows about the highs and almighty lows that come with a penchant for quaffing liquor.

In March, 2006, Hinch did look close to death because he was very ill, suffering cirrhosis and septicemia before his kidneys and immune system collapsed, thanks to the drink.

Hinch has emerged from the other side, put on a healthy amount of weight and written a book called I Beat The Booze And You Can Too.

Catchy name, Derryn! This is the best thing you’ve done since you appeared in John Farnham’s You’re The Voice video clip!

So Derryn’s a teetotaller now? Not quite…

But after nearly 50 years of drinking, Hinch told Confidential his book was no wowser tome, and encouraged people to control drinking – not just give up.

“I had my annual two glasses of red wine on Christmas Day so I really want people to know that I haven’t written an anti-drinking campaigner,” he said.

Two glasses of red wine a year? Jesus. You may as well give up ENTIRELY, dude.

Derryn gives Aussie men a bad name. Yeah like an alcoholic can have two drinks a year. Wouldnt that be like just having a tiny bit of heroin. He certainly knows how to push out the books though, I will give him that much.
