The latest press release to dramatically flounce its way into my inbox and promise the world is form the folks at the St Kilda Festival, its headline excitedly screaming “CALLING ALL WANNABE MODELS AND FASHION DESIGNERS TO THE ST KILDA FESTIVAL. Merrick and Rosso, Charlotte Dawson, Samantha Downey, Henry Roth, Scott McGregor and AFL stars to attend Festival.”

For real? With such a glittering array of stars present, surely some of their charisma and talent will rub off on attendees and lead to a career in showbiz, specifically modelling and fashion design!

The St Kilda Festival is this Sunday, February 8 promising the return of Festival favourites such as live music, and kids and sports zones, the FOXTEL village, and a range of new activities and events for punters to participate in free of charge.

All model-wannabes and aspiring fashion designers should come down to the FOXTEL Village at the St Kilda Festival this Sunday to reveal what they’ve got to the celebrity judges. On the Village’s main stage, Australia’s Next Top Model celebrity judge Charlotte Dawson and Australia’s Favourite Model, Melbourne girl Samantha Downey will hold a model walk-off to find St Kilda’s Next Top Model. Melbourne fashion designers will also have the chance to show off their latest designs and meet Project Runway designers and Melbourne locals Helen Manuell and Petrova Hammond and mentor Henry Roth.

Woooooot! St Kilda’s Next Top Model could be yours truly, and perhaps I’ll finally find someone who can see the hobo (closely related to boho) charm of my somewhat maverick fashion creations?

And if that wasn’t enough to get your blood pumping…

Merrick and Rosso from the Comedy Channel’s Merrick and Rosso Show, host Scott McGregor from Fox 8’s Blood, Sweat and Gears, and AFL stars Scott Lucas (Essendon), Robert Murphy (Western Bulldogs) and Cameron Bruce (Melbourne) will also be attending the Festival this Sunday, so don’t forget your camera as you’ll never know who you might bump into.

Merrick and Rosso? NO. WAY. GET. FUCKED. Seriously? Those dudes are bigger than Elvis! I would literally shit my pants with glee if I ever got physically close enough to hear one refer to the other as “tiger” before laughing hysterically for an uncomfortably long time!
