4:33PM Jess McGuire | You know what was awesome? The mid to late nineties! Schoolies was just around the corner, partying hard became standard weekend behaviour for us delinquent teens, and most importantly – Blink-182 ruled the airwaves and the hearts of the youth! Sensitive boys my age would make mix tapes for their girlfriends which featured the song “Josie”, and oh! How we chuckled at the band’s playful pants off attitude to life!
Well guess what, folks who miss the mid to late nineties as badly as I sarcastically do for the sake of this report? BLINK-182 ARE REFORMING! IT’LL BE LIKE OVER A DECADE OF SHATTERED DREAMS AND HARD DRINKING NEVER TOOK ITS TOLL ON ANY OF US!
After their jaw-dropping performance at last night’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, Barker announced the band’s reformation stating, “We used to play music together, and we decided we’re going to play music together again” with Hoppus adding “Blink-182 is back!”
Ooooh and they’ve also gone into detail on the band’s official website.

1:24PM Jess McGuire | Author Kathy Lette has told a British newspaper that Australia’s greatest exports Kylie and Dannii Minogue are thinking of teaming up for a bushfire charity concert in London.
Australian author Kathy Lette, a friend of Melbourne-born Kylie, told free commuter newspaper London Lite that plans were being made for an event to honour those who had perished.
“We want to hold a memorial service in London so people can pay their respects,” she was quoted as saying. “We’re working on that now. The situation down there is really, really dreadful.”
Hmmm. No actual direct mention of Kylie or Dannii, but I suppose Kathy Lette being friends with them is proof enough that the two Minogues will be participating in this event. And if Kylie’s gonna be somewhere, you just know her new BFF is going to turn up!

(A) 31-year-old man is believed to have lost part of a hand and part of a leg in the incident shortly before 7am at the navy base near the iconic Harrys Cafe de Wheels at Woolloomooloo.
The diver was carring out an anti-terrorism exercise off the HMAS Darwin docked at Garden Island at the time. Royal Australian Navy Rear Admiral Nigel Coates said the attack occurred in the area between Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and Garden Island Naval Base.
Since there are no answers as to what kind of shark attacked the diver, the AAP has turned to an expert for some hypothetical answers. More »

Nicole Kidman is planning to turn her hideaway in a NSW village into a horseriding refuge for her unlucky-in-love sister Antonia and her four children.
Lavish renovations to the $6.5m homestead in the Southern Highlands region are revealed in council documents which show plans for a pool, tennis court, sandstone gym and entertainment centre.
That sounds pretty sweet. I can only hope of one day becoming friends with Nicole Kidman (after reassuring her I never ever joined any Nicole Kidman hate groups on Facebook, of course) so I can go hang out at this fabulous retreat.
The papers keep banging on about the stables as though that’s the most important aspect of the renovations, but personally I found this more interesting. More »

So he has made a film about his car! What’s not to identify with? Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear is in the movie, and he’s renown for loving automobiles! Oh, and Dr Phil! Yes, DR FUCKING PHIL! This movie about Eric Bana’s love of cars is going to SELL OUT, do you hear me?
Yup, when an artist has enough money to start producing films about their personal interests, the end result is always box office gold. Isn’t that right, John Travolta?
