Troubling Katy Perry Related Post Of The Day #1

People, people, people… you know me better than anyone, truly you do. Which means you are well aware of my total hate of Katy Perry and everything she stands for. As you can imagine then, what I’m about to say is very difficult.

I admire Katy Perry for something.

Katy Perry and her lover Travis McCoy have ended their romance and, for once, it had nothing to do with either of them kissing a girl.

“It’s sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour. She just needed a clear head. It’s been non-stop work for her,” a source told Us magazine.

Gym Class Heroes are rubbish. And here’s why I admire her.

McCoy, of the band Gym Class Heroes, posted the reasons for the split on his blog on New Year’s Eve. Here’s what he had to say:

“We fight every night, now that’s not kosher
I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer
And wake up to be greeted by an argument again
You act like you’re ten
So immature, I try to concentrate on a cure
And keep lookin’ at the front door
Thinkin’ if I were to evacuate
You’d probably be straighter than straight
And wouldn’t have so much hate
‘Cause you don’t know the pain I feel when I see you smilin’
And when I roll up you start wilin’
So I front like everything’s hunky-dory
But it’s a whole different story
You don’t like the fact that I’m me
I don’t put on a show
When it comes time for you to have company
And your friends don’t understand your choice of man
They speak proper while my speech is from a gargabe can
But regardless, you shouldn’t have to be so raw
I’m lookin’ at the front door.”

JESUS WEPT. People buy this dude’s music? Really? Are all his lyrics as GODAWFUL as the above example of his prose?

So for the first time in my life, I want to say…

Katy Perry, I salute you for recognising that your (former) boyfriend is a knob and ditching him in time for the New Year. Anyone who pops up bad teenage poetry like that on MySpazz deserves to be alone.

Also: slight chuckles at the surname misspelling in the headline of the Herald Sun’s article online.

His lyrics are not usually _that_ bad, but those are not his lyrics. Those lyrics are from the Main Source song Looking at the Front Door.
