OMG Girl Snds 14K Txts 2 BFFs, Oldz Totez Mad @ Her LOL!!1!

I thought I was keen on texting chums idiotic updates about my life, but my keypad happy thumbing ways are nothing compared to a thirteen year old school girl who sent over 14,000 text messages to her mates in just one month. Astounding.

A 13-year old American girl sent 484 text messages every day during the month of December. That was a total of 14,528 texts for the entire month and an average of one message every two minutes while awake.

Damn, she texts like I make Facebook status updates!

Reida Hardesty’s father was shocked when he received the phone bill at the end of the month. “First, I laughed. I thought, ‘That’s insane, that’s impossible’,”the 45-year-old told The New York Post.

Clearly Mr Hardesty underestimates a teenage girls ability to talk about nothing at length.

Mr Hardesty questioned his daughter on who exactly she was sending messages to all the time. “Who are you texting, anyway? Your entire school?” he asked.

“Well, a lot of my friends have unlimited texting. I just text them pretty much all the time,” she explained, according to The New York Post.

When I become a parent, my children are only going to have pre-paid mobile phones. I don’t see why the little bastards should have more privileges than I do.

How have Mr and Mrs Hardesty dealt with the situation?

Mr Hardesty and his ex-wife have since placed restrictions on Reina’s mobile phone use, ruling she cannot text after dinner.

Let’s say dinner is at 6pm, she goes to bed at 10pm… that knocks off 121 texts from the phone bill. Which still leaves 363 texts per day, let’s say it’s a 30 day month… We’re still looking at her sending over 10,000 texts a month. Way to discipline, dudes!
