Missy Higgins Says Thank You To Barack Obama!
Wow, Jillian Michaels and Missy Higgins together at last? It’s true! Along with the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Wilmer Valderrama, and a whole lot of people I cannot recognise for the life of me but I am led to believe they are celebrities of some kind, the pair star in a new YouTube video thanking the President-Elect and urging him to accomplish important environmental goals whilst in office.
I am a bit confused by Missy Higgins’ presence, but supportive nonetheless.

Ok.
A) Jillian Michaels reminds me more and more of that chick from 3rd Rock from the Sun, Kristen whatever her name is.
B) Jillian cannot talk unless it’s in a manner of cheesy inspiration.
C) What is Missy doing here? Half her talking sounds pseudo-American…Though they did use her song. Kudos.
D) Barack better be fucking AMAZING, unless he cures cancer AND aids, I get the impression the talking up won’t be worth it.
I am having a hard time to believe Missy would be involve in this!!!no one knows what sort of President Obama is going to be!!Hope he will do well, but before election they all promise the moon but non of them so far have been able to do much about the environment!!!too much talk not enough action!!!Lets wait and see how things gonna turn up!!!
Missy’s australian what the hell?!?! haha nah i dont care shes just being missy shes awsome, it is wierd that shes on here…its a bit random but shes just trying to help spread the word about climate change n all that. Love ya missy! come back to australia for real soon!
You guys must be kidding, right? Global warming is a GLOBAL issue! Artists, especially, considering that they extensively travel and have extensive stays in various cities not only have a right to speak out about causes that affect the entire world but a duty to do so! By the way, that’s not Missy’s first time speaking about environmental issues and Barack’s commitment to it here in the U.S. – it’s just the first public support behind him. Barack has been embraced across the world, not just the U.S. Missy is a genuine artist who truly cares about these issues and understands that they are global. By the way, Missy you are awesome – please keep touring the U.S…… we looooove you here!
Love ya Missy!
Ditto Corrine’s statement. Global warming is indeed a global issue, and Missy, having an apartment in LA, certainly can and should do her part. Her commitment to this – true commitment, as some artists stomp for an issue only occasionally or just when cameras are on – is commendable.
Gobama & Go Missy! By the way, the statement about curing cancer and AIDS is ridiculous. He never promised to be a rainmaker or to have a magic wand – moreover, a scientist. He said, “Yes, WE . . . WE . . . WE can.” He knows that he can’t correct the economy, health care system, or environment alone; rather, he uses his words of hope, though they seem to hinge on “belief in magic,” to inspire. Dr. King often spoke of a dream, but he didn’t JUST have a dream; similarly, Obama doesn’t JUST have hope. Here in the U.S., we’re “All for Believing” – action starts with hope, and hope begets action and change.
Missy, you rock – musically speaking and in our support of important causes and people who are behind them! Please don’t stop!!!
