Lee Ryan, His MySpazz Missus, And Their New Baby Boy

Do you remember Blue? They were a British boy band who were very successful in the United Kingdom back in the day, and at one point were inexplicably granted permission by the Gods of Music to record the following track with Stevie Wonder.

Lee Ryan was a particularly outspoken member of the group, and is famous for his quote right after 9/11 where he said to journalists “Who gives a fuck about New York when whales and elephants are being killed?” INTERVIEW FAIL.

Oh, and he also released the stirring pacifist anthem “Stand Up As People” where he sang the following lyrics:

When are we gonna stand up as people
Realise that as people were all equal
We don’t want no world war sequel
For the love of god think of the people

- which led to a few people informing Lee that there’s already been a world war sequel, and it’s traditionally known as World War II.

Anyway, Lee is a genius. He has just had a baby with the fiancee he met on MySpazz, and I think you’ll enjoy these quotes from him regarding the naming of his baby as much as I did.

Former Blue singer Lee Ryan is ecstatic after the fiancee he met on MySpace gave birth to their son Rayn Lee Amethyst last month.

‘We’d chosen the name some time ago. We both just liked it. It’s an anagram of Ryan. And Amethyst came about because we wanted a precious stone in there. If we ever have a girl, she’ll be called Rose Quartz.’
