Our Kylie – a woman whose ability to belt out an awesome pop tune is well documented, as is her tragic inability to hold onto a man and makes babies and find happiness in this world* – has been getting her cougar on, and things appear to be blossoming rather nicely between the warbler and her younger lover.

Pop princess Kylie Minogue whisked her new toy-boy lover off to the French Alps for the New Year. The singer, 40, jetted to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc for a snowboarding break with Andres Velencoso Segura, 30.

Kylie and Spanish model Andres got together last October after she split up with Olivier Martinez. A source said: “They are really smitten with each other. It’s lovely to see Kylie so happy.”

Oh, huzzah! We can only hope that this particular beau won’t be described by the press as a “love rat” any time soon. Does anyone else remember when she dated James Gooding? And that his nickname was apparently The Poodle, because he was dumb and beautiful and often found beside a rich woman?
