BREAKING: John Travolta’s Son Dies in Bahamas
The first tragedy of 2009, and an especially sad one: TMZ reports that Jett Travolta, 16, died today while on vacation with his father John and mother Kelly Preston.

UPDATE (1:21 p.m.): Reuters reports that Jett suffered a seizure at the family’s vacation home. Travolta attorney Michael Ossi confirmed the details, adding that attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene.

As someone who lives with an autistic person, it’s annoying to read articles that state Jett’s autism went ‘untreated.’ Autism in incurable and there is no treatment. There can be associated problems, like seizures and OCD. Jett’s seizures were treated. No drug would have changed his brain. Autism is a brain disorder and there is no ‘treatment’ that makes a person normal.
